URMA-L is a listserv (electronic discussion group) for editors, writers, and designers of university research magazines. Subscribers are members of the University Research Magazine Association; we welcome anyone involved in the day-to-day production of a research magazine or newsletter for a university or other institution to join. Topics discussed on URMA-L should be of general professional interest, for instance: editorial freedom, justifying budget expenditures, working with freelancers, the editor-designer partnership, covering research fraud, and the source-writer relationship. Discussion is monitored and held to high standards of professional courtesy. You must be an URMA member before you can subscribe to the listserv.
