URMA 2009 Conference May 26-29, Texas A&M University Join us in the heart of the Lone Star State for the 2009 edition of the annual URMA conference. We are hard at work putting the final touches on the program and can hardly wait to let you see the whole thing. Watch this space for updates! The URMA 2009 conference site will be the Hilton College Station and Conference Center, 801 University Drive East, College Station, about 2 miles from the Texas A&M campus. Agenda Download the agenda (MS Word document) Registration Printable registration form (PDF) Online registration Payment The registration fee is $150. Make checks payable to: University Research Magazine Association (Tax ID number: 20-0197323) Mail payments to: Gene Charleton Senior Science Writer (Texas A&M University) Texas Engineering Experiment Station 308 Werc College Station TX 77843–3134 Or make your payment through PayPal: Flight information If you don’t mind small jets, commuter service is available from DFW International Airport in Dallas and George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston. (About 45 minutes from DFW; about 25 minutes from Bush) The DFW connection is via American Eagle; the Houston connection via Continental Express. If you’d rather not fly directly into College Station’s Easterwood Airport, your best bet is to fly into Bush Intercontinental in Houston or Austin Bergstrom Airport in Austin and drive from there. Both Bush and Bergstrom are about 90 miles from College Station (90 minutes), with good highways between. There is also a ground shuttle between the Houston and College Station airports. Click here for more information. My personal choice (outside of College Station) would be to fly into Austin: your call. If you decide to fly into Houston or Austin, let me know and I’ll send a map to College Station and the conference hotel. Useful links: DFW International Airport George Bush Intercontinental Airport Austin-Bergstrom International Airport Easterwood Airport Lodging Room rate for the conference will be $99/night.
